Hi !!
I'm new at this and I was given a job to connect call manager 3.3 trough 3640 router over E1 line to PSTN. Now, I managed to configure router (I’m using MGCP) ,line is up, guys from PSTN say that from there side everything looks ok and in CM I have registered gateway and that to looks ok. But now I’m stuck. I can’t make outside calls and how to bind line (30 of them) to specific DN

When I call from the outside a get the following message on router :

*Mar 1 00:04:40.451: vnm_dsprm_voice_connect: mismatch htsp on slot 0 cdb 0x635
EBC60

-Here is my configuration :

Get rid of the MGCP and manually configure it.

h.323?
Could you please direct me to some guide or manual, because documentation I found on Cisco web site is pretty skinny so to say.

It really depends on what you are trying to do. There is no magic document entitled, "The complete guide to configuring a router for VoIP." That is becuase, like everything else in IT, it depends.

It depends on the topology.
It depends on the technology.
It depends on the budget.
It depends, it depends, it depends.

There are great docuements on setting up dial peers. Dial peers are consistant through all the platforms (mostly). What applies to one router will apply to the other assuming the IOS is the same.

Here are some links for how to setup dial peers.

Once you have the an extremely good understanding of the above, everything else is trivial. You have to setup your PRI interfaces for inward and outbound dialing. There are TONS of configuration examples on how to set these up. However, the links above are the foundation for a PSTN gateway and how to configure it for use by CCM.
