Im using Veritas backup exec for sbs 2003.
Im using diferent types of backup methods and backing up to an internal disk. everything seemed to be going fine untill one day the 80gig disk had 0bytes left free, in effect the backup software went "offline" and i get error messages if i try to start a job which names a few casues but i pretty much determined its cause the destination disk is full. but what am i to do to get this thing back "online" and running. I did free up about 200mb of space on the disk and tried to run a very small backup which shouldnt ocupie 200mb of space and the job started then said it has "paused" b/c the thing is offline i guess. im thiking if turning this situation into a 2disk rotation and get removeable trays for the server. but i guess veritas has all my backup information into one file and im using append - overwrite, what can i do? if i have the file on one disk, and then take it out, if i put the 2nd disk in, will it just start writing to that disk? how does this work? i hope ive made myself as clear asi could, im sorry for any unclear statements, but if anyone can offer any help, please repsond, thank you.
(On a side note i do not know how to setup this program to be able to backup my exchange server and individual mailboxes, right now im soley backing up the dedicated drive itself which the exchange server was installed to. i think im stuck at the point where veritas asks for a service account and i dont know what that means or howoto set this up - but if anyone cn offer any help in this area i would greatly appreciate it.)
