Elliptical text path in opposite direction 1

In illustrator, when you put text onto an elliptical text path, it seems it automatically goes from L-R up, over the top of the circle. I need to make the text go from L-R under the bottom of the circle, and I can't seem to figure out how to control this. Is it possible?

I'm trying to create a text path that looks like this:

But the default seems to be a text path that looks like this:

Thank you very much for any help you can provide!

Create your text and drag it to the bottom of the circle.

Drag your text to the inside of the circle by dragging the I-beam across the circumference.

Then shift your text back to the outside of the circle by decreasing the Baseline Shift in the Character Palette.
