can't logon to domain, says computer account password is wrong

please can somebody help me as this is doing my head in.  when I try to log a machine on to the domain it says that the computer doesn't have an account in the domain or that the password on it is incorrect.  I've removed the machine from the domain, renamed it, rejoined the domain under the new name and still to no avail.  I don't see what else I can do if this status is going to keep following the maching around regardless of what name I give it.  And I did reboot straight away after the rename (read somewhere that if you wait more than 10 mins it can cause probs)

please can anybody help as I'm at my wits end here

2 problems here, 1 you already have this posted in another thread. 2, you left out the details of what led up to this problem.  You're not going to get good help unless people can hear the whole story.  I'll respond in your original thread.

Matt J.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem.  Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
