I have a user that is unable to view word or excell attachments I know that this can be a problem if the attachments are graphics as he may not have an app to view this with. I have added his mailbox to my workspace and I am then able to view these attachments. Any ideas on how to resolve this.

Thanks

Does Notes display an error like "An application cannot be found" or does Word load but nothing appears?

Does this happen when you View and/or Open. Can you save the file and open it outside Notes?

The answers might help narrow it down.

Sorry for the delayed response ABOzIT, have had access to the users machine.

I am able to launch the attachment, and detach and open it.

The message I receive when trying to view is 'unknown viewer failure' i have no idea what viewer Notes is looking for.

Thanks

I have the same problem with a user. In Notes, an Excel attachment can be viewed but cannot open it. It loads the Excel program but does not display anything. Notes displays 'Unable to locate program' error. Reinstalled Office 2000 and Windows 98SE, the problem is still there.

Try this.
1.Start Excel.
2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
3. Under the General tab, click to clear, 'ignore other applications', and then click OK.
4. Quit Excel.
It resolved the problem for me.
