My boss at an old job was amused when I told her that her name, Karen Mathews, could be anagrammed to New Shark Meat.

One small company I worked at, pulseMD, ran out of funding and had to declare bankruptcy. One could say that it slumped.

A friend of mine can't decide if he'd rather be called The Darn Bear or The Dear Barn, since neither is totally flattering.

My own name, ESquared, has the anagram, Quad Seer which obviously means, I may be E[sup]2[/sup], but I'm also Seer[sup]4[/sup] (evidently some kind of sage or visionary)! Perhaps Rad-esque works, too.

Rather than search the internet for such anagrams, how about inventing them yourself? I find that the "candidate word list" option at Wordsmith.Org's Anagram Server can be quite helpful.

Speaking of which, Internet Anagram Server = I, Rearrangement Servant. But I can't take credit for that one.

Dimandja, are you a father? The next time you spill jam on yourself you could be a dad in jam.

... or if he didn't meant to have kids, he'd be "Dad in jam"... ;)

My name has the disgusting anagram of SMELLIER TUSK. But more appropriately would be TIMELESS LURK.

Well, no usable anagrams with just gbaughma

However, when I used my full name (Greg Baughman) I got a couple that made me laugh....

BEGGAR AM HUNG
BRAG HUMAN EGG
GRAB HUMAN EGG :)

... none of which are REAL exciting... but what the heck... it gave me a smile on an otherwise grouchy day.

I always wondered what your name meant.

Hehe... it's funny, 'cause on IRC I just use Baughman... and it's funny the girls that say "What is it, exactly, to Baugh?" <laugh>

Sorry, I'm just not creative enough to be like Cypher or Neo or Tkn0g33k or anything like that.. so I'm either Baughman or gbaughma

(the gbaughma comes from my email login at work, actually... 8 character limit)

Try including your middle name, if you have one.

Tried my name before, but only come up with things like CHIN HURTS . I get more words if I call myself Christopher, I quite like ENRICH POSH TRUTH .

My favorite, spectacularly rude, one is for my sister, Alison: @NUS HILTON . Don't think I'll tell her about it though...

Oh dear, first post in this forum and I'm lowering the tone already [flush3]

Hey Christiaan, do anagrams on your full name. There are some amusing ones. I'm not sure whether to post one I found, though... laugh.

I tried that but it came up with so many posebilities that I stopped reading

Well, the overwhelming list is why I want to create an anagram explorer.

Anyway, use the candidate word list. Find a really cool or suggestive word you like. Remove its letters from your name and do an anagram on just that.

I'll tell you the one I found... His Satanic Bear

perhaps i should change my middlename too teddy

his satanic teddy bear

that will make a great movie

Thanks for the invite, E[sup]2[/sup]!!

The best I've seen for my name (John Helsabeck - Higgins is a nickname from college) is Back Heels John. I live in NC, the "Tar heel" state, so that's close. Admittedly the list is pretty long, so there are probably some real gems in there. I just don’t have time to explore it in detail at work.

Throw in my middle initial and you get: John Makes Belch. My mom would be so proud.

My screen name, anotherhiggins, produces
A NOSE THIGH RING (I don't have either pierced)
A NEST HIGH GROIN (I'm not that tall)
EARNING HOG SH*T (It's really not that bad)

Susan,
That's the link that started this whole thread!

Opps! [blush] And I thought I was being so clever......
