Hi !

After re(new)installation NB DC 4.5 on solaris some tapes in the library have the status DBBACKUP. I dont´t use the NB catalogbackup, because i backuped the catalog on another server on another way.
I can´t delete them, because the tapes are assigned.
I can´t use bpexpdate to make them available, because the tapes are not in the database. (???)

Whats the matter ?
Can anybody help ?
Is the database corrupted ?

Greets and thanks

Holger

You will need to run the vmquery command to get the Volume Pool and Status information for each of the tapes. For example " vmquery -m 000005 ".

You will then take the information from the above and run the vmquery -deassignbyid command.
For example - "vmquery -deassignbyid 000005 3 0" the 3 is the pool number and the 0 is the status of the media.

There is a "Veritas Command Manual" located at
