Hi everbody ,
My question is that
The Oracle home used by our system is /u01/app/oracle/product/9.2.0 and the listener.ora is in the path /u01/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/network/admin
The Parameter CONNECT_TIMEOUT is not defined in the listener.ora .

What does it mean ? Does it means that the listener will wait for indefinitely for taking the connection or Is there any default value for the CONNECT_TIMEOUT.

Thanx in advance

Add CONNECT_TIMEOUT=0 to your listener.ora. This should make the listener wait indefinitely, AFAIK.

Hello Ken
Actuaaly my point was that if CONNECT_TIMEOUT is not set
in Listener.ora then what will be the timeout value.

In my application it is not set and one of my PL/SQL web application fails giving error " ora-12535 TNS:Operation time out ".

Thanks in advance

why dont you follow ken's suggestion and reload listener. not sure what default is but this wil fix your problem without a doubt!!
