I am new to this topic, but I am trying to help a friend with a purchase decision for his restaurants.  He asked me to help him gather information for his decision, so here I am in my spare time doing just that.

He currently uses Positouch for his POS system and wants to hook that up to a Microsoft Great Plains Accounting system.

He feels that there are some weaknesses in the Positouch system (for example: in house inventory management) that are weaknesses in many POS systems.  To cover those weaknesses, I have found a company that has developed an add-on for many POS systems that also integrates those systems to Great Plains.  The company is InStore Systems (www.instoresystems.com) and the product goes by the same name.

Does anybody have any feedback/experience with this product?

Thanks!

Did your friend end up going with this product? how many stores does he have?  I am also in the stage of determining the best solution to integrate my Positouch unit with the Great Plains product......

We use a product called Restar Transmanager to integrate Aloha to several accounting systems. You may see if they have a interface to Great Plains.
