Customer wants to set up his system to block call line id from being sent to the party he is calling. He is using ground start COT trunks. This can be done one of two ways. Call the telco and have them block the info at the CO (for a fee) or dial *67 before each call.
I have tried digit manipulation in load 86 and found the * only introduces a pause before dialing 67.
In load 16 there is an insert digits but that is there only for did and tie trunks.
Any hints as to where a guy should be looking for this?
Thanks

I believe what you're looking for is in LD 57 FFC (Flexible Feature Codes)

LD 57
REQ PRT
TYPE FFC
CODE ALL

(that will give you a list of all of the ones available and programmed)

Look for CPP (Calling Party Privacy) and CPPO (Calling Party Privacy Override) codes. CPP should be *67 and CPPO should be *82

I believe that there may be another prompt to look at, like two entries for each code or something to allow for pulse dial. Those codes are 1167 and 1182 I believe.

When dialing, use the format of *82 9 1 NPA NXX xxxx

It's been a while since I've done this, but I believe that's right.

Thanks for the reply,
I'll hammer at this today and see what comes up...

I should have stated in my earlier post that I would like this to happen automatically without the user dialing anything...
Thanks again

Ok, I think I can still help. (maybe)

I once was looking into this type of thing for a police station. (apparently they didn't want the criminals to know when the cops were calling them) I remember there being a class of service in the setup of the phone that would automatically give privacy. CLBA maybe? I don't have my NTPs handy right now, but I can look into it later.

Ahhhh....
I will investigate this further, I just needed a nudge in the right direction!

*sigh*
It was so simple...

and to think I beat myself up so much yesterday... I'm not sure if I love my job or hate it........

depends on the c.o. switch type translations..the dms100 or
5ess can block your cid ougoing calls..if on a pri t1 you
can disable your cid ougoing calls in your cpe..
have local boc setup a trace..(possible protocol analyzer
to trap outgoing call) and they can see what information you are sending out...the switch translations send what
you send..they may send a customer name that is built
in what they call Dbac through your service order request..
pots and specials are two different entities when it
comes to translations...to include cid incoming and outgoing
