How can I access my home machine from work or otherwise remotely?  I have a cable modem at home behind a d-link wireless router.

Can anyone Help?

Not sure if this is much help mate but there is alot of software available such as Remote Desktop that allows you to do this.

Alternatively you could set up your own VPN (virtual private network), or use FTP so long as you have static IP addressing.

You could also set up a domain on a home network, again with a static IP, set up user name/passwords and then just leave your PC on, then whereever you are, type in your IP address into a browser, enter the appropriate user/pass and bingo.

Obviously this is just an outline of how you could do it, and all have varying ranges of cost, and probably more importantly, security.

Hope this has been a bit of a help!
