Please could someone point me in the right direction for displaying charts on a web page that can easily be up-dated, i have knowledge in HTML, Java and JavaScript, can it be done using these languages, is there an easier way..

The best program for making charts, is Excel.
Create the chart in Excel, save the chart as gif, and upload this with an automated ftp script.

Next time you need to update the chart, change your values in Excel, save the gif, and upload.

Simple!

There are many Java APIs for making charts dynamically, where you could take input from a regular web form to change the chart on the fly.  Many of them are professional (cost $), but some of them are free.
