i have heard that its possible to control modems thru C/c++ and or assembly .. i would like to know how ..
if anybody has any info .. right from the scratch i would be more than happy ..

Well if you have a external modem that you connect to the com port than you can use components that access this comport and then you can send AT (Hayes modem) commands to the modem. Turbopower has components for this called Async Professional. Take a loot at www.turbopower.com .
