differnces between USB and USB2

What are the differences between usb1 and usb2?
Usb2 is faster than usb1 but are there hardware differences?

Except the transmission speed, are there other differences?

the differences as far as i know about are the following.

usb 2.0 has a more stable and true universal connection.

usb 2.0 has less hardware conflicts occuring

usb 2.0 is not supported by older systems/hardware

some newer hardware is not supported by anything but USB 2.0
