Does anybody know where I can get ahold of a pair of used Canadian version companion base stations (C1110 NT0P20DA93), cheap cheap cheap? :) I'm trying to add some coverage to my system so I can go hide out of sight and still have my phone... unfortunately have found out the hard way that the US ones won't work here.

For what its worth I have a pair of US (BS-1G NTAE21AA) base stations and a couple of US C3050 phones & chargers that I picked up, that don't do much for me but make a matching pair of US book-ends... maybe there's a trade to be worked out if anybody in the US has a matching pair of Canadian book-ends they want to get rid of :)

Cheers and thanks,

In Canada do you have to input UTAM codes for basestations and handsets to work? In the U.S. you purchase UTAM codes for how many basestations and handsets are attachted to system. If you add another basestation or hanset you have to purchase more UTAM codes.

Nope, I wish we did have to :) Now that I've researched I found that down there your Companion stuff works up in the PCS frequency band which is why the UTAM stuff is needed. Up here our Companion stuff operates in the 900MHz range which means no licenses, but complete and total incompatibility :)

Mail me at sprucegrover2000@yahoo.com and we can try and figure something out. At the very least we can avoid cross border shipping and $ exchange.
And what are you doing for Comapnion parts, especially consumables like batteries? I haven't been able to get batteries for weeks now. The scarcity of Companion equipment seems to be a tactic to steer clients to the SpectraLink product line.

Mike too !

We have everthing old and new also and we are shipping from Toronto Canada...see link below for getting in touch with us. :)

hopefully this is not in violation of the promoting, selling, lazy students rule. if so i'm very sorry. i think we have what the other one needs and would be willing to work out a trade if possible.

Mikeyn, feel free to drop me an email at mcisar@starmania.net
