Drop a file using PL/SQL toolkit

Eppili (Programmer)

Hi,
I am generating a report written in PL/SQL Toolkit based
on parameters entered by the user. I want to be able to
drop the output in the form of a text file in a network
drive when the user clicks on a button.
  How do I do this?

  Thank You..

Eppili,

I don't quite understand the way you crete the report. Do you use WebDB to generate a report OR the PL/SQL toolkit to create a report manually?

However, in both cases you have to write a PL/SQL procedure which uses the sys.utl_file package to accomplish this functionality. See the Oracle documentation for a description of the functions and procedures in this package.

Succes,
Learco
