I had the same problem at first. It simply won't boot directly from windows and I eventually got it working by making up a boot disk (with the "make a boot disk function" on the start button) and even then the disk's seemed to last for five or six boots and it then gave up and I had to redo that. The boot disk I have now has been going for about 25 goes and seems to be working fine. I don't know if you have tried a boot disk as your message says Windows or disk, so perhaps you have. This might not help much but it's all I can tell you RonnieM

I had a problem where I get a message about the kernel being loaded to high (in memory).  I made a BeOS Boot Disk from the Boot Disk maker in the BeOS folder in Windows, and that seems to work fine.  If the boot disk doesn't seem to work, try making another one.  Can always get a bad one.
