Self Service Apps exist outside the Managed Reporting Environment (MRE). You can use forms and links on standard HTML pages to run reports.

The Focus proceedures are migrated to a directory outside the IBI directory or onto a webserver.

One must do a CGI call to run the proceedures.

Self service apps also let you make totally functional front ends where people don't even know you're using FOCUS to do the job! it's a slick slick concept!
