Monitor - Abstract Error

Getting the error "Abstract Error" popping up whenever I try to run monitor on a single machine.

We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. We have tried different versions of manager. We have even tried just replacing the monitor file with one from a working installation.

Nothing has made a difference.

Before I scream and throw the machine at my colleague (he is getting blamed for breaking it as he discovered it

) has anyone got any ideas?

Abstract Error is a Java issue.
What OS ?
What version of Java are you running?

You also get that in Delphi and Monitor doesn't seem to be a Java application.

Need to double check that as currently trying a system restore to a month ago, but I believe it is Windows 7 with Java 7 as well.

An abstract error can occur in any programming platform, abstracts are used in object oriented software development.

If it only appears on this particular machine then the OS has a problem not the software.

Annoyingly I think that is the case, but I am loathed to rebuild this machine as it is one of the few we have left that the ISDN Diva Logic or Draytek modems work without any issues
