Can someone let me know how to go about learning for the Biztalk 2000 certification.

The very first thing I would do is get a promotional version of the Biztalk Software. After that, I would print out the exam objectives which can be found here ---> http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/exams/70-230.asp#SKILLS

I would also consider a MOC course for this particular exam:
http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/training/moc/

And last but not least I suggest test prep software (Not Braindumps!!!) from a well known vendor, www.transcender.com is a great practice test provider.
I've also heard god things about MeasureUp & Tech Skills.

http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/mcpexams/prepare/practicetests.asp

Good luck

Lotsa luck

From Transcender's website:

Designing and Implementing Solutions with Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000, Enterprise Edition

  Exam Number: 70-230
Current Transcender Status:  No plans for this product
(emphasis mine)

But for what it's worth, there's a new text out:

MCSE Training Kit Microsoft Biztalk Server 2000 (Exam 70-230) with CDROM (Hardcover) by Microsoft Corporation

ISBN: 0735614407 / Publisher: Microsoft Press / Date: Dec 2001

You know what I know now...   In case you're curious it's in the $45 to $65 US price range.

A good site for hunting down the lowest price would be http://www.addall.com/

I'm a member of Books-a-Million so I can get it shipped to my door for about $48.

No offense, but $48.00 is still too high! Try $38.25...

www.bookpool.com
www.provantage.com
www.fatbrain.com

These are the onl;y places I'll shop for certification & technical books

Good Luck...

uh, offense taken  <snicker>

but if you want to pay $38.25... go right ahead... but I might suggest you verify they have it in stock because that's why I ignored their listing at http://www.addall.com/

as Bookpool states (as of 13:45 ET):

List Price: $69.99
Our Price: $38.25
You Save: $31.74 (45% Off)
Availability: Out-Of-Stock

where as that $48 did (a) get shipped and (b) included the shipping cost.  And while I did pay more than you would have at Bookpool, their REAL cost was $42.62 delivered, but alas, it's still not in stock.

I'll let ya know what I think of the book in a week or so.  In the meantime, Professional Biztalk from WROX has proven quite good.
