what can i do.

Hello Supportvzla,

I think on that issue you will need to recover your Linux passwords by booting your UCM Server from your install media and at the boot promt you need to type in: "recovery-com1, so you can recover your admin2 and root password

Here are some notes I have on doing it that I have collected from a few different posts here;

Lost all System Passwords (UCM and CS)
Recovery:
Linux base CLI (reset nortel and root passwords)
1. Insert the linux base install media into the server
2. Reboot the Server
3. At the “boot:” prompt type recovery-com1 (10 seconds to start typing)
4. Select the menu items to reset the root and nortel passwords
5. Follow those steps to reset
6. Then choose the reboot option once finished
7. Remove the install media while rebooting
8. Validate passwords on CLI

good morning, after do this

1. Insert the linux base install media into the server
2. Reboot the Server
3. At the “boot:” prompt type recovery-com1 (10 seconds to start typing)
4. Select the menu items to reset the root and nortel passwords

Which is the root and nortel password? and i have no any effect over the database in the PBX?

Regards

Your root and admin2 password are set during the Linux installation. Not sure you can change those without reinstalling Linux.

KCFLHRC - You can, you just need to boot from the Linux media. Then you can login with those accounts and reset all your user logins.

You can change the root/admin2 password via linux CLI. Issue the command "passwd root (or admin2)" as the root user and it will prompt you for the password change.

we did the precedure and we could recovery the linux password, but i can not recovery the admin2 password, since Linux can we reset the admin2 password?

Pls

Thank for you help

It should give you the following options when you type recovery-com1 or recovery-kvm (depends on how you connect)

1. Boot loader recovery
2. Password Recovery
3. ...yada yada

You will choose option 2 and you should be prompted with:

Password recovery:
You may change password one of the following users:
1. root
2. admin2
3. exit
Select and option (1-3) You should pick 2 here.

I have done this on a 7.5 system with no issues. Are you not seeing these?

I'm thinking he is trying to recover the Admin 2 on the PBX, not the Linux.

check if the system has unregistered from the UCM. Try the default password for admin2, in the PBX?

What type of Server configuration are you running? If you are running a CPPM/CPDC or a CPMGS and you have a compact flash or USB with software try the password recovery method in

This process may work, but I am not sure on a co-res environment. Haven't run into this problem.

Yes, this is the menu that i have.

We did it again in this moment is coming up, to do the test.

we did it, its work.

but we can not log in in the pbx,

ok, you may have to reset the admin password on the UCM.

NN43001-116, 05.08 Page 66 will show you how to reset the UCM admin password.

Then use the UCM login and password to get into the PBX.

If your PBX is not joined to the Security Domain however, you will need the original admin2 password to join it to the Security Domain.

the problem is, that i have not access to the UCM,

I am in security configuration, in member server

Like if i have to make the configuration initial.

The pbx is working, but i have problem with E1 outgoning,

Regards
