Dialing out without using 9

Look at the fax's ext and set the hotline prompt to 9 instead of none, that way once the fax goes off hook the 9 is already dialed.

Hotline external with a pause (Feature 78 to add pause).
Do not hotline 9 unless you have centrex type lines that require it.

Yes hotline external I assumed he would know that so I didn't mention it but you still need to add the dest code, just adding a pause isn't going to insert a 9. I'll admit I haven't done this in sometime but I believe you have to add a external code once you change the hotline to external.
