BCM 400-Need to install patches/updates. Unsure of procedure and location of updates....HELPHelpful Member!(2)

Hello,

I am starting to drop calls randomly and seeing "Line Code Violation" alarms quite often in the BCM. I figure I need to go ahead and run updates and apply patches. I am a rookie with the system and have no clue as to how I should go about getting this done. I of course would backup prior. Will I need to import the settings back in? Do I need to add the patches and updates sequentially or can they be applied in bulk? Where will I get them? The last patches added are BCM.R400.SU.System.027-201004 and BCM.R400.SU.Desktop.016-201002. Which ones go after these? Current release: 4.0.2.03. I dont even know if thats all the relevant info. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You need to call your vendor in that handles the phone system, only they will have access to the patches.
Patch release notes will advise on requirements.

first of all you need an sso avaya login only available to avaya partners to download the patches

you may want to contact a vendor for this

if you are able to get your hands on them you just backup everything, then run the system update first, then the desktop update

the SU will require a reboot.

make sure you run the SU before the Desktop

Thanks!!!! I'm only seeing the most recent updates on the Avaya site. Do I need to load older versions first or can I just load the current ones and be good with that? Basically do the new updates have everything the older ones have? Thanks again
