Radiant Question - Do Grind Files Contain Cash Management / Deposits InformationHelpful Member!(2)

Hello,

I do not have experience with Radiant / Aloha / Menulink. I am wondering if the grind / .dbf files contain any of the following types of information:

  • Petty Cash Out
  • Total Cash
  • Restaurant Bank
  • Total Deposits
  • Misc Income Amount
  • Cash Over/short Amt
  • Non-Resettable total
Essentially, I am wondering if this information is stored locally in the .dbf files or is it only accessible in above store systems / Menulink database?

Any information would be a tremendous value.

GNDSALE.DBF - Petty Cash, Over/Short
GNDSLSUM.DBF - Total Cash
GNDDEPST.DBF - Deposit
NRTOTALS - Non-Reset Totals

I would assume the others are contained in these files as well

They should all be contained in the grind files. The grind files are what Menulink uses to get its information for cash reconciliation.

Fantastic. Thank you dauphin2 & MenulinkMan.

By chance, is there any documentation floating around for the .dbfs?

If the location is using menu link are the cash management / deposit grind files still populated? I thought the BOH was hosted.

Should contain all the files on the local PC as far as I know.

ML parses the grind files for the data contained within. You can still read your sales / deposit information in Aloha Manager / Configuration Center reporting...So basically the information is stored locally on the BOH.
