I have a remote office with BCM 50. All inbound/outbound calls route via VoIP trunks back to the main BCM 400 using dest code 9. I have installed a CO line at the remote BCM 50 and programmed dest code 8911 to pull trunk 061 to dial out on the local CO. Easy stuff. What I'm having problems with is trying to idiot proof the system by trying to deny a 9 911 call thus sending emergency personnel to the wrong address . I tried adding 911, 9911 to set restrictions. The 911 restriction allows calls both with 9 and 8. The 9911 denies both 9 and 8. I have also tried setting up dest code of 911 and 9911 but system won't allow. Any ideas?

That's because your restrictions ignore destination codes; enter a 911 destination code (absorb none) that routes to your pool A, and a destination code 91A (absorb 1) and exclude the 1 in your wild cards for route IP-A.

YOU MUST always create a 911 and 9911 restriction and add them as exceptions to their own restriction class so that they always go through.

The system will not allow me to set up a 911 dest code which is the first thing I tried.

You have to remove 9 as a destination code, then add 9A as one, then you will be able to add 911 as a destination code. You have to use wildcards. You will also have to set up a 91 as well if you want to be able to dial 9+1 calls.
