Making one extension ring at two phonesHelpful Member!(3)

I have a phone extension in an office (236) and another phone extension in a kitchen area (327). The same person needs to answer both but she works between the office and the kitchen. Is there a way to make it so that when someone calls ext. 236 that 327 will also ring? A pickup group will not work because you can't hear the office phone in the kitchen. I'm new to phone systems but have a very basic understanding of them.

Thanks for your help!

Create an Answer DN for 236 on 327.

Keep in mind each set will handle things like DND and forward to voice mail based on the configuration of each set, so if those apply to your setup, be sure there are no conflicts.

you can take it a step further and add 327 as an alternate ext in the call pilot to show the display of MSG on both phones.

Another solution would be to create a broadcast hunt group with both extensions as members

pretty sure this is the exact reason the answer dn feature was created :)

Thanks everyone! I created a DN and it worked perfectly. I will keep Marskell's advice in mind if they have an issue with the voicemail not showing up.
