Flash unit not working after MICS 7.1 upgrade

thread799-1478091: MICS 7.1 COMPATIBLE WITH FLASH 1.7/2.0??
Replaced a MICS 0x32 with 3.0 software for a newer MICS 0x32 unit with 7.1 and a PRI card.

All is working except for the flash module. I already cleared out the feature codes and tried to initialize the Flash unit with no luck, just the "feature inactive" message. After reading here that it must be because it's has a sub 2.0 version I ask:
Is it possible to update my Flash unit? How do I know what verson it has? I see that there is a 25 pin port on it. I have a FastRad 2 and the NRU version 11 software if it helps. Oh and I also have the old 3.0 MICS in storage.

Any help appreciated!

You need to go to Call Pilot 3.0 or 3.1 when using 7.1 software.

V2.0 or V2.1 will work with a MICS R7.1. You just need to upgrade the Flash software.

Also you needed to upgrade VM first

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

Thanks for your replies! Ok, I verified the Flash and current software cartridge reads v1.7 and it has the four line expansion.

There is a couple of v2.1 software cards on eBay and they're cheap enough to buy it just to test it.

luv2ski, "Also you needed to upgrade VM first" The VM?

VM = Voice Mail

Required - 1.9 or up on Flash or any version Call Pilot.

You will need 2.0 Flash if you ever go to 7.1 on phone system so 2.1 is best choice.
