Anyone have recommendations for a vandal proof phone?

I need in phone that can withstand a lot of abuse - this is for a jail. We currrently have vandal resistant phones in this location but they are not holding up well. Problems with phones being kicked off the wall, handsets slammed on concrete or metal phone.

Unfortunately a flush mount speakerphone with dial pad is not an option due to privacy concerns.

Thanks for your suggestions.

One of my previous employers used these http://www.gai-tronics.org.uk/products/titan.htm in exactly the same environment.

These phones worked pretty well - especially in a custom made steel chassis. We never had any phones kicked off the wall, but the main area of damage was the corded handset being damaged, despite being reasonably rugged. Personally I doubt that you will find a solution to that kind of damage - other than a large stock of spare handsets and a healthy T&M for their replacement.

Good luck!

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

and we tried using the DAC708 (or very similar from the same manufacturer) and they weren't as resilient - by a long way. The brass bushes that are fitted into the ABS front panel use to mount the pcb and push buttons become detached from the ABS with the usage and time. They lasted about 2 years before being unrepairable.
