Hi,

Will monitoring *.tmp file count in /app/boe/bobje/tmp. Would it give us active report count?

We want to track the no. of open reports in existance during a stipulated time period of testing and see how many report were run and how many are open reports during those times?

Is it possible ? to check the no. of reports run and see a graph (if possible) or no of reports that was running successfully but failed at a certain point of time, cause of bottlenecks or Timeout issues ?

we are using Unix (solaris 10)as OS / Oracle 11g / BO XI 3.1 SP3 FP3.7

regards

The number of files in the tmp folder is NOT a good representation of what's running. How many files are there is dependent on the type of reports being run and there are times when BO is not very good at cleaning up after itself.

Your best bet will be to turn on Auditing and use the Activity universe to get this data. If you're tracking scheduled reports, you need to be sure to turn on auditing for the Job servers, for on-demand reports, you need auditing on the Processing servers. There are sample audit reports that can be modified for what you need that should give you a good start on this.
