This is a Magix System. The phone is an Avaya 4424LD+ and the ADJ is an Avaya DDS 4450. The secretary would like for me to reprogram the buttons on the adj. I was hoping it would be as easy as creating an auto dial button, but it does not seem to be. Please help....

Perfect, thanks for guiding me in the right direction. It looks like this goes off directory. Is is possible to program a function other than auto dial to these buttons?

Actually, the answer is "Kinda'."

If you have a need to watch if lines are in use or not, you can re-number it in the Line Range and see that activity.

But, No, as far as extensions go, they are Auto Dials.

Okay this helps and it sparks a new question. She wants to be able to see who in classrooms is on the phone. She does not want to have to hit the bottom button to change the multiple of 50 range there are only 47 extensions in this school building. She wants to be able to hit one button to call or transfer a call to a classroom. Can that be done? Thanks

The buttons on the DSS are fixed, in groups of 50, starting at X00 through X49, or X50 through X99. If your extension numbers span across the 50 or 99, then you're going to have to press the page button to see the next group.

Or you could renumber the stations so they are all within one of the 50 number ranges, other than adding a second DSS module to show the other number range.
