Hey guys I'm using a template by Linda Bass for a Calendar format found here: http://www.ml-consult.co.uk/cryst-06.htm and discussed here: http://tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1475890 . I want to select not only the year, but also an employee. This is for an employee time and attendance report. Is this something I can do? If so does anyone have any suggestions? thanks all

I think the link is incorrect to the tek-tips thread.

You might want to add a parameter for some unique value for the employee, e.g., employee ID, and then set the ID field to the parameter in the record selection area of each subreport. Create the parameter in all subs and in the main report, and then link the parameters to the main report parameter, by using the dropdown list in the lower left corner of the subreport linking screen.

Hello Linda Bass wherever you are:

I recently ran across and downloaded your Calendar report for Crystal and it is great....but there are so many formualas...I can't figure out how to use my 2 data tables with it. I get tons of errors.
I use Crystal 11, and use it to write reports over my Access Database.I have what I think is a very very simple request, but I'm not great in Crystal.

In Access...I have a query that gives data in following columns:

[Date to perform task], [name of task], [Order # task is required for]

This data is reports for next 6 calendar days (basically a week at a time), and is dynamically updated by the Access database, based on user input on the front end Gui. All I need is a report that gives me the Name of the Task down the left in rows.....the Dates across the top in columns, and the Name of the person as the data result at the intersection.

I've tried Crosstabs..but crosstabs only give counts and summaries...will not show data. Also, there could be repetition of same task name on a given day for multiple orders. In other words on 10/5/2012....there may be 5 of the same task name for 5 different orders.

Any clue as to a simple solution??????

You can use maximums to get data returned in an inserted crosstab. I'm unclear on the final layout and how the order ID is built in. With only six days, I think you could easily create a manual crosstab that would meet your needs, but I'd need more info on the desired result before being able to help.
