I have a main report with few sub reports. I am trying to sort one of the sub reports on a date field with no avail. I used the record sort expert from within the sub report to sort on the date field in Desc. order but the order always comes out random. what am I doing wrong?
thanks

Is the field a true date field or is it a date formatted as text?

Also, are you doing any grouping in your subreport? Sorts will happen inside the inner-most group. If you need for the sort to happen in the middle of the groups or before the groups, you'll need to make it a group of its own - you can suppress the group header and footer if you need to.
