First things first, unless you have already checked.
Switch 1 on the card elements 1, 2, 3 should be 1=on, 2=on, 3=off, this tells the card it is a single processor.
Check the the Mac addresses on the card and write them down, (there should be x 2)
Next connect to the v24 at 9600bd put switch 9(little switch at the top into the down position and press the reset button at the top leaving switch 9 in manual.
The card will then load and come back with some thing like this:-

1, Check the ETHACT/MEDETHACT addresses are correct, (Mac addresses). 2. Over write the IPACT statement by using:- se IPACT=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,(subnet mask in hex). 3. Over write the AUTO Statement :- se AUTO=0.0/xabcd567.app what ever your software is. 4. Delete NIVAL, se NIVAL=
5, Press reset and list again to check all is correct.
While in SMI list the directory it should be something like this:-

Now try pinging the IP address with a cross over,
Assuming you have a back up of your old config you need to delete the file xxxxx890.app, and any other files not needed, Dos commands = DEL xxxxx890.app from the v24 port + xxxxx890.hrm.
Log onto Telnet BUT with without a password,(you have deleted NIVAL) this can but put back later.
If this works FTP your config backups to 0.0 xxxxx890.hrm/xxxxx890.app.
