I have BusinessObjects Enterprise XI--Crystal Reports Server. I am setting up my reports as email attachments to either a file system or email destination. My jobs run successfully and I can see the format is pdf in the history. However, whether it is in the file system or email, there is no file extension on the file so the file type shows up as unknown and not a pdf.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

When you set up the jobs, did you specify the file extension on the file name? If not, that's your problem. BO does not automatically put the file extension on exported files - you have to explicitly tell it to.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

Thanks! I knew it was something easy. I must have missed that when I was comparing my settings in my older version of BOE.
