So, the 9611G's look like they are supported in R8, even though the knowledgebase says they are not supported in R8 still (but that was from December 2011). What I want to know...are the SBM24's (or even 12's) supported with the 9611G's right now? We have one hooked up, does not appear to be getting proper power. We're using PoE. Makes me think that the phone does not like it. Its supported on CM (or so the documents say) though...

Nope, not supported.
Only the BM12's are supported.

Well, after a reboot of the phone, the SBM24 came up. I guess the reason they are not supported is that the labels/indicators do not change for the buttons. They work, you can put a user button on them and dial a user with it, but it shows no indication like it normally would if they were busy...

True and i noticed that already in 6.1
Then after that they could not fix it (it is supported on the CM but not the IPO) so they changed the docs to not supported smile

Ah, that is kinda...lame. Stringin 2 12's together is supported though, yeah? Run into any power issues?

Do you use a power brick or POE?
Officially you should use a power brick.

That makes no mention of the 9611G. Yeah we're using PoE.

Yeah I see that. I still don't see anything mentioning BM12 support with the 9611g. But hey if you say it works...

At that time the 9611 was not supported on the IPO at all so that is why it is not mentioned there.

Also from the knowledgebase:

CODE

• SBM24: (9630G, 9640, 9640G, 9650, 9650C)
Up to 42 SBM24s per system (24 buttons each, up to 1008 buttons).
• BM12: (9508. 9608, 9611 9641)
Up to 42 SBM24s per system (24 buttons each, up to 1008 buttons).
• BM12: (9608, 9611, 9641)
Up to 42 SBM24s per system (24 buttons each, up to 1008 buttons).

Do you suggest using the 1151 for the 2x bm12's even though PoE is supplied?

One BM12 could also work, you have a "arrow" keys just below the middle then you can switch from keys 1-12 to 13-24 smile

Does anyone know of a patch release for the IP Office 8.0.42? I am having difficulties with my BM12s (2) on a 9508. Buttons disappearing and constant reboots on the set.

How much button modules do you connect to the 9508?

@kyletelcokerr - yes, there is a version newer than 8.0.42 on the support site. Don't know if it will fix your issue - but it would be the first thing to try. Also be sure your power is correct.
