Hello tektippers.

I have NP 3.1 unified server installation which I was checking.
in the Windows event viewer I am getting lots of error caused by
"AASearchController" a Nice service that as far i know is not used in standard installations, its Audio Analysis Services and belongs to advanced package.

with lots, i mean 1 error almost each minute!

the question is, can I stop it and let it disabled, without affecting other services?

I use to did that (disable permanently) on my first installations till a colleague told me NOT.

if you are using audio analysis which from your post reads you are not then in system admin and event logging for this service untick report to event viewer.

alternatively disable the service if you are not using audio aanlaysis one assumes the system was installed with multi dimensional databases and as you are not using this service nor cubes then disable is fine
