Hi

i am using a tax software that needs to use mapi setting to send forms by email.

im using windows live mail presently and i receive an error saying that the mapi client is not configure...

the problem is that i dont know how to configure a mapi client???

can someone help me

What OS are you running?  Ive read that Simple MAPI and 7 have issues while XP and most Vista seemed to play nice because of the way Outlook Express was configured.

Is this the only host email on the PC?  Is it the default mail program?

im using windows 7 and live mail, but i also have outlook 2007 as mail client.

i dont have preference on using both of them

Which is the default mail program?  Ive heard that if Live isnt the default, it can mess with the MAPI functionality.

hi currently the default is live mail outlook is not yet configured.

I cant find too much in the way of help about this outside of others having a similar issue.  Here is an article where someone used a hotfix to patch it up: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/windowscompatibility/thread/ff8c9af5-faca-4e53-b6eb-121e0061170f

Is it giving you any kind of error code(letters and numbers) when it tells you it cannot use MAPI?
