Hey everyone

This might seem simple but for the life of me I cannot figure it out  so here is the senerio:

We have BE 2010 R3 doing backups with remote agents on 3 servers. (Network A with server A,B, and C)
I have set up a back-up center which is located in another state (network B with only 1 server - server D) and now all I need to do is test.
So I inventoried theape then I Cataloged it - Now I can see the folders and data under thier respected servers - but when I go to restore lets say from Server A to server D all I get is that remote agents need to be installed to restore to that server.

Does anybody no how to get around this  -  all I want to do is take everything off of a backup tape and restore it to 1 server.

thanks for your help

Have you tried installing the remote agent onto Server D

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

I thought about that but what I have is 2 BE 2010 R3 programs -

One is installed on network A on server A
the other one is installed on network b Server D

All I really want is to take some data from Network A (Server A) and restore it to Network B (Server B) but it keeps telling me it need the remote agent

You can't restore backup exec data without the remote agent installed on the target system.
