Hi

i have a ipoffice version 1 with release 7.

we have a problem with our analog trunk disconnection.

when we transfer an external call from reception to other extension

if the caller disconnects then also the extension get ringing.

the trunk is also disconnecting in case of this transfered calls.

pls help me to solve this issue. our provider is not providing

disconnect supervision for analog trunks

pls help me to solve this issue. our provider is not providing disconnect supervision for analog trunks

without them providing this the system has no way to know if the caller has hung up, it's the only way to fix it really :)

If there is no disconnect supervision then IPO will "listen" continuosly on the analog trunk for disconnect tone. If the disconnect tone is recognized and on for at least four seconds then the IP Office will disconnect the trunk.
Common problem with this scenario:
Busy tone is not recognized ( in ATM trace shown as "sloppy tone detected" )
You can determine which tones and timers there are used for a busy tone by the provider and adjust system settings in IP Office crresponently.
Another issue occurs if two alog trunks are connected together and both disconnect, then two interfering busy tones are on the lines and IP Office cannot detect a busy tone so the lines remain open.
No cure for that, just do not connect alog trunks unsupervised together.
If possible use digital ( ISDN, SIP ) lines which are much more reliable but unfortunaly not overall available.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

In nortel MICS we normally program 5 seconds for disconnect clear

to solve this issue.

but here i tried to do change with the option disconnect clear in

line properties & busy tone detection in system telephont settings.

but still the transfered calls are not disconnecting.

Having the same issue with analog trunks,IPO rls 7.0.12 comb card.

4 1400 series sets and with line appearances on all.

Any resolutions or suggestions ?

Got it! resolution that work for me, lowered the disconnect timer
values in milli-sec, from its default.
