I have a computer that has an NVIDIA Quadro 600 in it already. It is getting a new card, and I would like to move the Quadro 600 into a low profile computer. However, since the card was pre-installed, it did not come with the low-profile brackets.

I have searched in vain for a low profile bracket, or bracket kit that would cheaply let me use this card in the low profile machine. It has one DVI and one displayport. Anyone have any ideas or sites where I might find this?

I would first call the OEM supplier of the workstation (Dell, HP, etc.) to see if they can ship you the low-profile bracket.  It may be at no additional charge, or if there is one, it shouldn't be that much.  You'll need the part number off the card.  The second option would be to contact the PNY's sales division (PNY manufactures all Quadro cards).

Thanks for the advice. Dell support said they have "whole cards only", and that they do not sell the bracket alone. I have sent an email to PNY asking if I can purchase a bracket from them, will see if they reply but somehow I am not hopeful.

Wow, I got a VERY prompt reply from PNY. Unfortunately though, they do not have a surplus of the brackets and cannot sell me one. They suggested ebay, which is what I will try next.

Well sorry that didn't get you very far.  But at least when it comes to the Quadro professional cards, you always get prompt support from PNY.  It's built into the price!

I have to say though that's a little odd that the "manufacturer" can't spare an extra bracket.  I can't imagine they get that request very often.

don't know the site below, and the price is a little steep for a metal bit, but take a look:

Thanks for the help so far, but not looking good. May just have to order another card. The unused card could probably be reused in the future, so not such a big deal.

Ben,
Thanks, but it looks like that bracket is for the Quadro NVS 285, which only has one DVI port...

cdogg,
I agree, but here was the reply I got from PNY:

Quote (PNY):

Thank you for contacting Quadro Technical Support. Unfortunately, we do not sell these brackets as we do not have a surplus of them. Each is reserved for each Quadro 600 we sell. You may have some luck finding a low profile bracket however online (perhaps ebay). I am sorry I could not assist. If it were our card (this is a Dell OEM card that Dell is responsible for) it would have come with the bracket included in the package (the PNY Quadro 600 actually comes with this bracket pre-installed out of the box).
