Have a partner ACS 308 Rls 6.0 Customer has an 18D euro style phone and i can not get the caller ID to display name & number at the same time. Have a caller id button and it switches between name & number so i know phone co is sending both. Customer said he used to get name and number on ACS system we replaced that was hit by lightning. Any suggestions

Hit Feature 59 from any phone with a display, it will tell you the exact release.  They probably had a later release R6 than you replaced with.  The R6 had some patches.

Ok Thanks. Will try but documentation says Caller ID name & number works on RLS 4.0 or greater. Is this not correct?

I could be wrong as it's been a while, but When name and number first came out you had to toggle between name and number.  I thought it was a version of r6 that allowed both name/number on the screen at the same time.

OK thanks, I will check it out. You are probably right. I do not do a lot of Partner systems. Mostly Nortel

I just did a quick search, it was the latest R6 patch that allowed simultaneous name/number.  The first release of R6 you still had to toggle.  That's probably the issue.  You can get the upgrade patch pretty easily though on the secondary market.
