Need some recommendations for monitoring outbound web traffic from several customer sites.  Wanted to get some thoughts and see what you've tried, like, hate, and if it's worth the price.  Mainly we're interested in seeing browser history, but with over 30 remote sites we need to get it from manually pulling the data is not an option.

http://www.squid-cache.org/ is one fo the most popular free web caching proxy software. Its main use is to speed up web browsing as it caches websites, but one function is it allows you to see all of the websites your users are visiting as well. It runs under Linux and Windows, so you could VM it if you are running any type of virtualization, or you'll have to put a small machine in place. There is a Proxy Server discussion forum on this website http://www.tek-tips.com/threadminder.cfm?pid=849 that can get into more specifics if you have further questions.
