dynamically updating Server Hostnames and IP changes on SAN

renjiville (IS/IT--Management)

In EMC Navisphere's attached server report on SAN, the HBA UIDs are displayed along with host names and IP addresses of Linux and windows servers previously registered. Some servers now have new names and new IP addresses but I continue to see the old ones. How do I make sure the new Host name and IP is updated on SAN? Will installing the naviagent on the servers resolve this problem? Anything specific to be done with naviagent? Appreciate your help to ensure updates or changes on servers are automatically reflected on SAN.
