Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how to create a user that can log in to the MAS Server to manage the system. I tried to create a user in the "Administration/System Users" Form but this doesn't allow the created user to login to the MAS Server web interface, I can however login to a text console (NPM). I have also tried adding the user through the root console session but still no luck.

I get a "You are not authorised to access this area." message when trying the web interface.

I have read through the I&M but can't find anything relating to system users.

Thanks

admin or root as far as I know

Can you use Putty and try witht the admin creds??

I can login with putty using root and running the "console" command or I can login using "admin" and get the admin setup.

What I am trying to achieve is to setup a login for the customer to be allowed to manage there server through the MAS web gui rather than through the text console interface. Primarily through the "user and services" form.

I notice the system users form but am not sure what these users are allowed to do.

there is an account for customer use, think its called local-admin you need to enable it in the users screen, it cannot be changed and additional ones can not be added

local-admin only has access to the Users and Services Tab. Good enough for very basic changes

Thanks guys I will try that.
