Quarkxpress 8 leading and kerning recently locked on measurements

In all documents the leading and kerning up/down left/right arrows are locked. I can lead by doing each line under leading but have apparently locked out the command on my measurements palette. I must have turned something off and could use your suggestions. Other measurement tools work fine. Suggestion??? Thanks, B

..not sure it's possible to lock the measurement options. I would try deleting your quark preference files and restart quark.
