Hotline is only straight and doesn't afford possibility to let the user dial any number. We could imagine the need to be able to dial a number, and if nothing is done to be directed to a programmed number...
Here is the way to do so (wihtout using hotline) :enjoy
In the device's COS, set the Dialing Conflict Timer to 2 seconds, the First Digit Timer to the minimum 5 seconds, the Inter-Digit Timer to the minimum 3 seconds.
In Intercept Handling Assignment, program an Unassigned Directory Number answer point for the device's intercept handling number.
Go off-hook, hear dial tone for 5 seconds and then get redirected to the Unassigned Directory Number
Go off-hook, hear dial tone, enter one digit, wait 3 seconds, and then get redirected to the Unassigned Directory Number
Go off-hook, hear dial tone, enter an invalid phone number, and then get redirected to the Unassigned Directory Number
You can program up to 32 unique Intercept Handling numbers, and thus, have up to 32 unique answer points for an Unassigned Directory Number.
Now, it's about French users too !!!
