Uncompressed bitmap in PSP X2

I am creating icons (32x32) for a mapping program which requires the images to be uncompressed. Have saved a created icon but the mapping program is not accepting it on the basis that it is apparently compressed.

Can't see how in PSP\X2 one controls the compressed/uncompressed aspect and the help/index/search option is not helpful.

Would be grateful for any helpful comments please.
