Converting a Database from Access to SQL

I have a program I created using Access 97 and VB. At first the program was developed for about 5 users. But now they need to set it up for about 100 users.

The program is on a network drive where everybody can access it. But the following issues has to solved.

1. Will the program allow multiple users to access the Access97 database at the same time?
2. If I Import the database to SQL Server, will this solve the problem of having several users at the same time?
