I have a customer that wants to use park and page for car lot location over outside paging system. It is in the docs. but I must be missing something in mailbox setup. Thanks for your help

It's part of the Automated Attendant not an individual mailbox setup.

eg. Press 1 to Page Car Lot.

When you set up the CCR tree you can assign a menu choice for PARK and PAGE.
Page type (Internal, Overhead or Both)
Page Zone (All or 1 to 6)
Page Retries (# of successive pages---unlimited in a 450)
Page Interval (in seconds)

Then have to assign a CO or Target Line to be answered by the Auto Attendant and record needed prompts.

KE407122 Thanks for reply. Please see below from Callpilot BCM 5.0 Task Based Guide. Just wondering if this is misprint. I have done it before the way you suggested and it works great. Thanks

With Park and Page, external callers can press 6 to page a mailbox
subscriber while they listen to the subscriber?s personal greeting or
record a message. When the caller presses 6, the system parks the call
and pages to paging zone or overhead paging system, or both and the
caller hears “One moment, please.” The caller cannot interrupt this
prompt by pressing DTMF. The page is repeated based on the mailbox
configuration until the parked call is picked up or the park timeout
occurs, at which point the caller is returned to the mailbox and hears the
subscriber?s personal greeting. The call is parked as long as there are
not already 25 calls parked. If the call cannot be parked, the caller hears
“The person you have called is not available” followed by the
subscriber?s mailbox greeting. While a call is parked the caller hears a
hold tone or music on hold, depending on the system configuration.

That works! I'll be darned. Learn something new every day.
You just half to assign the page type, zone, retries and interval in the subscriber's mailbox.

Did you get it to work. I still can not

Yes. Both on a 400 and a 450.

Right at the bottom of the Mailbox (Subscriber Mailbox)
are the same prompts for Page.
Page Type: NONE is Default. (You have to turn on what type, Internal, Overhead or Both
Zone: (All or 1-6)
Page Retries: 1-5
Page Interval:

Just to test I assigned my Mailbox to Page Zone 5. (Internal), however until I assigned my set to Page Zone 5 the page was not heard. (There were no other sets assigned to the zone.)
