Contivity 1750 VPN and BSR222 connection issue

We are trying to get BSR222 to connect to a Contivity 1750 server that has an Untangle firewall in between. We can see them connect and can ping the 1750 but the IP phones won't connect. If we use the client software on a PC we get the checking for banner text and then it times out. If we use a different VPN to get past the firewall the client connects right away with no problem. We can look at the log on the 1750 and see the two profiles try to connect. Any ideas?
